Rooftop solar, 1 kW to 10 kW

Solar for homes, shops, schools and small factories across Padrauna and Kushinagar district. Survey, supply, installation, subsidy paperwork and service, all from one place.

Which size fits which building

Figures are based on the Kushinagar average of 4 units per kW per day. Price moves with the roof, the shading and the equipment chosen, so a firm quotation follows the site survey.

On-grid systems, indicative figures, based on 550 Wp modules

Three kinds of system

On-grid

Grid connected, with a net meter

Panels, a grid-tie inverter and a net meter. Whatever you do not use in the day runs back through the meter and comes off the month's bill. There is no battery, so the cost per unit is the lowest and there is very little to maintain. This is the only type the central subsidy applies to. During an outage it shuts down automatically, as the rules require.

Off-grid

Battery backed, runs through a cut

A solar PCU, panels and tall tubular batteries. In the day the panels run the house and charge the batteries; at night and through a cut the batteries take over. This is the practical choice where supply disappears for hours at a stretch. The battery adds to the cost and needs replacing every four to six years.

Hybrid

Savings and backup in one system

Grid, solar and battery all connected. The bill comes down and the essential load keeps running through a cut. It suits shops, clinics, cold storage, coaching centres and schools, where an outage costs money directly. It can also run alongside a DG set so that less diesel is burnt.

What the price includes

We quote turnkey, which means the system is handed over working. Nothing extra appears at the end.

1

Site survey and design

Roof measurement, shading check, load and meter details.

2

Panels, inverter and battery

Mono PERC and bifacial TopCon modules, MPPT inverter or solar PCU, and tall tubular batteries where needed.

3

Mounting structure

GI structure fabricated in our own workshop, braced for wind and raised clear of the roof.

4

Wiring, earthing and protection

DC and AC cabling, earthing, lightning arrestor, MCBs and surge protection.

5

Commissioning and paperwork

Testing, start-up, subsidy application and the net meter file with the department.

6

Service and warranty

Manufacturer warranty handled through us, and an annual cleaning and checking contract if you want one.

UTL Solar mono PERC solar modules

Modules usually carry a 25 to 30 year performance warranty, inverters 5 to 10 years, and batteries 3 to 6 years. The exact terms depend on the equipment chosen and are written into the quotation.

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

The central subsidy for residential on-grid rooftop solar. The money is credited to your bank account directly, not to the shop.

1

Register on the national portal

With your discom, consumer number and mobile. We do this with you at the shop.

2

Apply and get feasibility approval

The department clears your connection for a rooftop system.

3

Install through a registered vendor

Equipment and workmanship must meet the scheme's standards, otherwise the subsidy stalls.

4

Net meter and inspection

The department fits the net meter and inspects the installation.

5

Subsidy into your bank account

Credited once the commissioning report and bank details go up on the portal.

Documents needed: a recent electricity bill, Aadhaar, a bank passbook or cancelled cheque, and proof that the roof is yours. Scheme rules are revised by the government from time to time, so we confirm the position on the day you apply.

Questions we get asked

How much does a 3 kW solar system cost in Padrauna?

A 3 kW on-grid system in this area typically works out to about ₹1.7 to ₹1.9 lakh before subsidy. After the ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar subsidy, what you actually pay is usually ₹95,000 to ₹1.15 lakh. The spread comes from the panel, the inverter and how tall the structure has to be.

How much roof do I need?

Allow about 70 square feet of shadow-free roof per kW, so roughly 200 to 220 square feet for 3 kW. Shade from a tree, a water tank or a neighbour's wall for part of the day cuts output, which is why we check it during the survey.

Will solar work when the power goes off?

A plain on-grid system shuts down during a cut, because feeding a dead line is not allowed. If you want power during cuts, you need an off-grid or hybrid system with a battery. We fit both.

How long does installation take?

Fabrication and installation of a 1 to 5 kW domestic system usually takes two to four days on site. Net metering approval takes longer and runs at the electricity department's pace.

Do you install outside Padrauna?

Yes. We install across Kushinagar district including Ramkola, Kasia, Hata, Tamkuhi Raj, Khadda and Sevrahi, and we supply sub-dealers in neighbouring districts and the Bihar border areas.

Is EMI available?

Yes. Rooftop solar loans are available through banks and NBFCs, and several cards run no-cost EMI. We help with the paperwork. Terms depend on the lender's approval.

Get a real price for your roof

Send your monthly bill and a few details about the roof. We call the same day with the size, the price and what it comes to after subsidy. The survey is free.

Ask for a solar quotation

Tell us the bill and the building. The survey costs nothing.
